Memorial Day, The Nuremberg Principles and Donald Trump.

I was watching the Memorial Day Tribute to our Armed Forces on PBS, and sorting through some download printouts: and I came across a printout from Wikipedia on the Nuremberg Principles. The Nuremberg Principles were a result of the findings of the Nuremberg Trials and are Guidelines for what constitutes a war crime and crimes against humanity.

I believe that several of President Donald Trumps Executive Orders are in violation of those Principles. To summarize:

Principle II:“The fact that that internal law does not impose a penalty for and act which constitutes a crime under international law does not relieve the person who committed the act from responsibility under international law.”

Principle III:“The fact that a person who committed an act which constitutes a crime under international law acted as Head of State or responsible government official does not relieve him from responsibility under international law.”

Principle VI:“ The crimes hereinafter set out are punishable as crimes under international law:

    (a) Crimes against peace:

              (i) Planning, preparation, initiation or waging a war of aggression or a war in violation of international treaties, agreements or assurances;

        (ii) Participation in a common plan or conspiracy for any of the acts in (i).

   (b) War Crimes:

 Violation of laws or customs or war which include, but are not limited to,           murder, ill-treatment or deportation to slave labor or any other purpose of     civilian population of or in occupied territory; murder or ill-treatment of  prisoners of war or persons on the Seas, killing of hostages, plunder of public or private property, wanton destruction of cities, town or villages, or devastation   not justified by military necessity.

   (c) Crimes against humanity:

Murder extermination, enslavement, deportation and other inhumane acts done against any civilian population, or persecutions on political, racial or religious grounds, when such acts are carried on in execution of or in connection with any crime against the peace or any war crime.”

I submit that the several of the Executive Orders approved and signed by President Donald Trump are in violation of the Nuremberg Principles, specifically Principle VI (c): Crimes against Humanity. He is acting as both a person under Principle II and a Head of State under Principle III to enact and enforce these unlawful Executive Orders: Even though the Federal Courts have declared these Executive Orders unconstitutional.

Enjoy your Memorial Day. I have a feeling it is going to be a long, hot, contentious summer.
