I’m a veteran, and will gladly accept virtual hugs :):):.
Seriously, if you know a veteran, of any war or peacetime military, in any branch of service, give them a hug this weekend. Do the other stuff, too, if you like — visit graves, put down flowers (not just veterans for this, graves of any loved ones — but HUG that veteran.
We haven’t always treated veterans or active military personnel well in this country, and the 1% would like to forget we even exist, once we’ve served our purpose. I support my local VA, think they are absolutely the greatest, doing a wonderful job with insufficient funding.
When I go out to the VA for any medical treatment, such as my recent busted ribs (healed up nicely, thank you), I always make a point of talking to other vets there and getting as many stories as I can — some of them are old guys with seemingly nobody else to talk to. I love those guys — I talk to as many of them as I can.
On other fronts, my computer betrayed me and downloaded Windows 10 in the middle of the night. My sin was leaving the machine on while I slept, so that popup didn’t get a “no” answer from me and downloaded this Windows 10 crap. Which has screwed up a few things I had on my machine. Sigh.
I’m tempted to pay for Computer Revolution to come out and set me back to Windows 7, I’m that pissed off. But what the hell. I have better things to spend my money on, and as long as it didn’t actually BREAK my machine, I guess I’ll muddle along for now.
Taking lots of pics of Teddie and Marvin. I will post some of them on Caturday tomorrow, got enough to maybe even post one of my own. I have a good joke to share. You’ll have to wait for Caturday tho, lol.
Happy Memorial Day weekend, everyone.
Love, Rose
