Men and Women have served on foreign shores and died when the Country called upon their service. Men and Women are still dying for the sacrifices made in combat and exposures to chemical toxins and injuries sustained in battle, The Warrior and the War are two separate discussions. They are not the same. Families have been brokenhearted and torn apart and suffered through years of warfare all in the name of preservation of freedom. This was not necessarily true for all wars but when the country called, the soldiers were willing to give their lives, their blood, their all to preserve ideals of a free America.
Now comes Donald Trump. The poster child for anything that is not an example of Presidential material. He thinks because he is a rich white man and has money, that is enough to go in the history books as the 45th president. He is a bully, knows nothing about protocol, diplomacy or tact.
I wonder how many people realize that when a veteran dies, the President of the United States sends a Certificate to the family to honor that deceased veteran. My husband nor I want a darn thing with the name Trump written on it. We did not want Bush on it either but Trump is an insult of the highest order. Think just a minute of how a man who tries to weezle out of donations to veterans, insults veterans and uses them as props for votes really would handle Veterans and Memorial Day. I shudder to think. This man compared combat in Vietnam to rent collecting, He compared serving in the military as his boarding school days. He has a hatred for women so strong that I cannot even imagine how hard it would be for our female veterans. He encourages and promotes torture. This makes every single American unsafe, not to mention the soldier on the ground that he is ever so anxious to send into battle while Donald DUCKED his call to duty during Vietnam.
I try to imagine someone like Donald Trump having to be Commander in Chief with someone like Patton under his command. Those two egos would have collided big time but my money would have been on Patton.
John F. Kennedy was a WWII Hero. He knew war and knew diplomacy was better than invasion. Trump scares me to death. Tomorrow is Memorial Day 2016 and we should reach out to the Dumbed down supporters of Trump to make them realize they are about to be conned out of an America, with all of it’s problems to a place we will not recognize. These men and women will in my opinion have died in vain trying to preserve something The Donald will turn into a Hell Hole., a joke, an economic ruin and for what? So Trump will have his name on a monument. Many have died over there...so many would not die here. I fear that is all about to end if Donald J Trump becomes the holder of the Nuclear code. The man is unfit to command the boy scouts...He claimed unfit to serve in the military and that being so, he is unfit to command a military.
Remember those who have fought not only in uniform but for the vote. This Memorial Day, maybe more than ever, is extra special...it may never be honored again with a President Trump. I do not believe he really cares who died in battle. Let us not forget this 2016 who paid the ultimate price for the idea of freedom. We still have a long way to go but the road seems impossible with this man as as the King of America. We will be a huge target of aggression. We will see blood.
If Donald Trump wins in November, we will forever be known as the United Stupid of America.
